What our customers say!

As both a small business and home user, I was interested to try out SpamTrap on an unnetworked PC. I'm finding SpamTrap to be the first anti-spam process that actually works for me. Straight off the bat, it trapped about 75% of my spam and I expect that this will improve as time goes by. It's yet to trap anything that it shouldn't have.

how SpamTrap works

SpamTrap uses a combination of proprietary filtering and spam collection techniques to identify spam messages and trap them before they arrive in your mailbox.

SpamTrap sits between you and your ISP mailbox. This means that every time you download your email it is processed by our spam collection and fingerprint comparison system.

How do we know what is spam? Every time you download your email it passes through our system which contains a database of millions of spam message fingerprints. We collect these spam fingerprints using a wide network of Spam Traps and other proprietary techniques. Each message in your incoming mail stream is also fingerprinted and then checked against the spam fingerprints in our system. If we find a match, it is declared spam and removed before it arrives in your mailbox. You can view your spam online if you wish as your spam is kept on our servers for 30 days.

This technique not only protects the privacy of your email but also minimises the chance of blocking legitimate email messages.

Your privacy and security

While your email messages are routed from ISP's server via our spam eradicating servers, we do not view your email messages. Your email messages are processed by our servers and not by members of our staff in the same way your email messages are currently processed by ISP's servers and not by its staff.

Additionally, we do not store your email password on our server, as when you log in to the SpamTrap website or download your email, authentication of your email User ID and password occurs at ISP's servers and the verification is then provided to us.
